NIOC in 4 Seasons

National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) experienced diverse events in addition to making achievements since the start of the current calendar year which ends on March 20. The most marked events were the inauguration of some development phases of South Pars gas field, signing a contract with a Total-led consortium to develop Phase 11 of South Pars and finally containing a blowout in Rag Sefid field.

Spring

·        Iran equalizes its gas recovery from South Pars with Qatar after startup of Phases 17, 18, 19, and 20&21

·        Start of production from South Pars Oil Layer

·        Enhancing production capacity of jointly owned South Azadegan oil field

·        Enhanced oil production from jointly owned Azar field

·        Signing €556 million contract for CRA pipes with an Iranian-Spanish consortium

Summer

·        Signing contract with Total-led consortium of China's CNPCI and Iran's Petropars for SP11 development project

·        Signing contract with Sofregaz-Sanat Saze Samin consortium for recovery of flare gas from second refinery of South Pars (Phases 2 and 3)

·        Exporting first cargo of butane from Phases 17 and 18 of South Pars

·        Iranian Parliament's vote of confidence to Bijan Zangeneh to be reinstated as minister of petroleum

Autumn

·        Signing MOU with Russian companies: Lukoil, Gazprom and Rosneft

·        Drawing up $5 billion package of production stability and enhancement projects

·        Start of oil production from jointly owned South Yaran field

·        Signing flare gas gathering contract with Italy's Ansaldo to generate electricity and renovate oil and gas equipment

Winter

·        Capping Well 147 blowout in Rag Sefid field

·        Setting new record in oil tankers berthing and gas condensate loading by single-point moorings in South Pars condensate terminal

·        Launching IFCO Azma integrated system for efficient energy use

·       Installing Platform 14A of South Pars gas field
